Why does accreditation matter?
Accreditation is the system the U.S. Department of Education uses to serve three important purposes:
1. Ensures high quality education
Accredited institutions are evaluated extensively and meet expectations of performance and quality.
2. Protects students
Students can be assured that their college has been reviewed by an objective, qualified third party and that the educational programs that are offered have been evaluated for quality.
3. Holds colleges accountable
Colleges and universities benefit from the process of self-improvement created by the accreditation process.
Vision
We’re inspired by the efforts of those seeking to increase completion rates for community college students. We find the CUNY ASAP program and its efforts to address how systemic barriers and unique personal responsibilities may hinder many students completing their degree especially compelling.
At Campus, we envision a space where students’ multitude of needs are met so that they may find their own success within any higher education program they take on.
Student-faculty ratio
Personalized academic attention provided through a small student-faculty ratio
Hands-on training and facilities
Applied skills development with well-equipped computer application instruction labs
Fast-track programs
Allowing students to advance at the pace that best fits their personal needs
Employment-driven programs
Designed to meet the needs of business and industry through balanced curriculum offerings of skill, knowledge and general studies
Placement assistance
Assistance for graduates in program-related employment
Quality accreditation and approval
Ensuring optimum recognition for students completing the programs
Many have tried to make big impact in this space and we are inspired by their efforts. We believe that if we can do the above, consistently and at scale, we will be able to massively increase class mobility in our country.
Funding
To advance our mission of maximizing access to a world-class education, we’ve partnered with a small, curated group of entrepreneurs and investors. We’ve been highly deliberate selecting investment partners who are more motivated to see a positive impact in the world than solely results to their bottom line. The majority of the capital we have raised have come from highly successful entrepreneurs who are choosing to use their personal resources to enact change.
